Houtine in Claude and ChatGPT

Run your family's routines, tasks and rewards by chatting with your AI assistant.

Server URL https://app.houtine.com/mcp

You need a Houtine account (free trial at app.houtine.com). The assistant acts as the parent who connects it.

What you can do

  • See today's routines for you or anyone in your family
  • Start a routine and check off each step as you go, or undo a step done by mistake
  • Approve a finished routine as a parent
  • Add, move and complete tasks on the family task board, with comments
  • Check reward points and request a reward
  • Create or edit routine templates: steps, schedule and points

Connect in Claude

    In Claude (web, desktop or mobile), open Settings → Connectors.

  2. 2

    Search for Houtine in the directory and click Connect. If it isn't listed for you yet, click Add custom connector and paste the server URL.

  3. 3

    Sign in with your Houtine email and password (or Google/Apple) and allow access.

  4. 4

    In a chat, make sure Houtine is turned on in the tools menu, then ask away.

Connect in ChatGPT

    In ChatGPT, open Settings → Plugins.

  2. 2

    Search for Houtine and click Connect. If it isn't listed for you yet, click + → Add custom MCP server, paste the server URL and choose OAuth.

    Sign in with your Houtine account and allow access.

  4. 4

    Start a new chat with Houtine turned on and ask away.

Permissions and your data

  • You sign in on Houtine's own page (OAuth). The assistant never sees your password.

  • The assistant acts as you, the parent who connected it, and can see and change what you can in the Houtine app.

  • Only what a request needs is sent to the assistant, such as routine names, tasks, people's first names and points. Houtine doesn't receive your chat conversations.

  • The assistant can create, change and complete things for you. Actions that delete something are marked as destructive, so your assistant can ask you to confirm them first.

  • Disconnect at any time from the assistant's connector settings.
